Full Job Description

Are you passionate about animals and want to be part of a team that makes a difference every single day? At Narcoossee Oaks Animal Hospital, we’re more than just a veterinary hospital — we’re a compassionate, AAHA-accredited team dedicated to top-quality medicine, excellent client experience, positive staff interactions, and maintaining the highest level of safety for our patients.

We’re looking for a full-time Pet Care Specialist (Kennel Technician) who is enthusiastic, dependable, and excited to jump into a fast-paced and rewarding role. If you love wagging tails, purring patients, and being part of a supportive team — you’ll fit right in!

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets — feeding, walking, cleaning, medications, and plenty of TLC
  • Monitor health & behavior and report any changes to the veterinary team
  • Maintain clean, comfortable kennels and hospital spaces
  • Bathe pets and trim nails as needed
  • Assist the veterinary team with restraint and patient handling
  • Communicate kindly and professionally with pet parents & teammates
  • Help with hospital cleanliness — laundry, dishes, mopping, yard care, etc.

Who You Are:

  • An animal lover with compassion, patience, and a gentle touch
  • A team player who is positive, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs, standing for long periods, and working actively throughout the day
  • Not afraid of messes — this role involves cleaning, kennels, and yard duties
  • Available for weekends & holidays on a rotating schedule for healthy work-life balance
  • Prior animal care experience is preferred (but a good attitude goes a long way!)

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Competitive pay — starting $14.00+ per hour, based on experience
  • Health insurance, life insurance, and paid time off
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Employee pet care discounts
  • Uniform allowance
  • A clean, modern AAHA-accredited facility
  • A culture that values safety, client experience, teamwork, and quality medicine
  • A fun, supportive environment where every role truly matters

At NOAH, our Pet Care Specialists are essential in keeping our patients safe, comfortable, and loved. You’re the heart behind the scenes — and we couldn’t do what we do without you.

Ready to join the NOAH family?
