In-House Laboratory

Having an in-house laboratory gives us the ability to receive results faster than sending the samples out; this allows us to begin treatment plans right away that can be lifesaving. In addition to performing bloodwork and urinalysis in house, we can also get immediate results on heartworm and
intestinal parasite tests.

Radiographs (x-rays) are important for helping us diagnose many conditions and diseases. They give us the ability to evaluate internal areas of the body that we cannot see or feel with our physical examination. In addition to our main digital x-ray machine, we have a state-of-the-art digital dental
x-ray unit that allows us to take full-mouth radiographs and detect dental disease that occurs below the gum-line.
Our on-site, brand new Idexx DR-50 digital X-ray unit provides the highest quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders. These digital x-rays help our veterinarians to evaluate cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, dental, musculoskeletal, reproductive and urinary systems.
Because we utilize digital technology, our x-rays give us greater sensitivity and clarity for evaluating the body systems than we would get with traditional film x-rays. They can be used alone or in conjunction with other diagnostic tools to identify the causes for a pet’s condition or to rule out other diseases. Images created in the digital format also make it much easier to make copies of your pet’s x-rays for referral or travel if needed.

Dental Radiology

Digital dental x-rays are specific to the mouth and so important to be able to accurately diagnose problems that occur below the gum line where they cannot be seen. We believe so strongly in utilizing them that they are incorporated into every dental procedure that we do. Because we use
digital x-rays, your pet is safer than ever before. The digital x-rays expose them to less radiation and because the images are more precise, the need for retakes is minimized.
